Stitch Functions Explained

Machines that do not have a variable stitch length/width adjustment facility often have several pre-set straight/zigzag stitches available in different sizes.  The manufacturer's specifications usually claim these to all be separate stich functions but, in reality they are the same stitch type in a variety of sizes and/or positions.

We suggest that you do not view this as a benefit when evaluating a machine of this type against a machine with a variable stich length/width adjustment that supposedly offers fewer stitches, as the variable machine will have all of these extra stitches covered anyway.
